Shot across multiple countries, seasons and landscapes, this collection was years in the making. These 12 images are a collection of abstracted landscapes that play with scale and texture. I endeavour to capture sections that evade the naked eye. Close up or far away? Smooth, jagged, or layered? What speaks to you?
Exhibiting photographs, I am always asked ‘where is this?”. This collection contains several images from Chile, South America. Glacial fields and geysers at 14,000 feet offer awesome ‘surfaces’. Irish Moss was shot in the quaint coastal town of Dingle, Ireland. And Oasis is from Palm Spring, California. The rock images are from across Canada - New Brunswick, Georgian Bay and Whistler.
All prices include framing. Shipping is available for an additional fee within North America.

Nature's beauty abounds in every season. One’s mood can be changed in an instant at the site of a blossoming cheery tree, or by inhaling the scent of fresh cut lilacs. Or perhaps it’s a winter walk through freshly fallen snow or catching the breeze in the tall grasses of a country field. I endeavour to capture the colour, scent, and mood of these settings as I interact with Mother Nature and all her gifts.
I am blessed to live in a country so vast and naturally beautiful as Canada. It is a nature lover's playground - a thrill for the senses and the soul in every season.
Most of these images were shot across the country and some internationally. In their own way, each image represents my affection for the energy of the land and its power to create a sense of awe and wonder.

As a landscape photographer, the elements of Mother Nature offer an endless source of inspiration.
Skyscapes are varied and majestic. They instill a sense intrigue and wonder. Every season and climate offers a different sky and a different sense of contemplation. My kite images evoke whimsy and freedom. Simply looking skyward can brighten a mood and bring fresh perspective.
For years, shooting water scenes (and sometimes ice) has been my antidote when the news of the world weighs heavy. My shutter captures simultaneously the ferocity and the majesticness of the surface. Like our modern world, water is a relentless and powerful force. When we slow it down and pay very close attention, we are reminded of the natural beauty within.
My Water images were part of the 2021 Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. Its mission is to provide a platform for exceptional lens-based projects by Canadian and international artists. It was an honour to be part of the Open Call Exhibitions.

Urban environments are so often pulsing with life, teaming with people, noise, smells. Sensory overload. I seek out urban scenes that offer a fleeting moment of calm amidst the chaos.
When editing, I am drawn to abstractions. Lines and edges, carefully composed to present an image not visible to the naked eye in its urban setting. Challenging the eye to determine exactly what fills the frame, or letting the imagination see what it chooses.
A special note about If These Walls Could Talk. This was my first commercial image and continues to be my best seller. Some background…..
There is something haunting about watching a home being torn down. As I shot the demolition of a Regent Park building in downtown Toronto, with these once private rooms on public display, I couldn’t help wonder who had lived here? Where were they now? In capturing these walls was I paying tribute to great times or helping bid farewell to difficult ones? The pockets of colour shone through the wet snow and stood in stark contrast to the jaws of the heavy equipment tearing at the surrounding walls. Urban Toronto torn open. If these walls could talk…

Abandoned homes, run-down barns and quirky country buildings often attract my eye. These buildings, in their state of disrepair, always spur in me a curiosity into their past. Who once lived here? What will become of this place? Country roads are full of these treasures.
The Maritime provinces hold a special place in my heart. Originally from Nova Scotia, I spent the summers of my childhood on Prince Edward Island arriving there after a long family road trip throughout the Maritimes visiting friends and family. I now take my own family ‘out east’. I relish in the slower pace and the seaside delights. Fishing villages, local music, majestic beaches, and charming communities all combine for a welcome ‘reset’ from urban living. It's like a long exhale and invites you to stay a while.
The barn door images were shot in 'The County'. Prince Edward County, wine country on the shores of Lake Ontario, is a place of gentrification. While city slickers infiltrate the vineyards, cafes, and boutique accommodations, signs of a simpler life are everywhere. For me, most notably, in the humble working farms scattered throughout the area. I have captured captivating farm and barn structures, mainly for their pop of unexpected colour, or weathered preservation.

For many Canadians, getting on the water is a key sign of summer. Be it at the cottage, the cabin, a campsite or a canoe, these are moments to be treasured as a welcome break from the normal routine. Let these images plunge you into dark cool waters, take you on a quiet paddle, or a walk beside the waters edge. What’s good for the body is good for the soul.
